Margaret "Peggy" Anita Allison

Margaret, known as Peggy to her loved ones, was a dedicated Teamster and one of the few women who worked in her time. She had a fulfilling career as a Rate Clerk at Pacific Intermountain Express Nationwide in Fontana, CA, until her retirement at age 59. Even after retiring, Peggy continued to work various jobs, including a paper route in Orange, CA, and positions at a Dollar Store and a Dog Track in Florida.

She was a lifelong Catholic who worshipped at various parishes. Peggy had a passion for animals, especially her beloved dog Elmo, and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and gardening in her free time.

Peggy lived independently until her early 90s, after which she resided with her daughter, Barbara Felix. In her final years, she cherished moments spent being pampered with pedicures, tending to her daughter’s garden, and showering affection on her grand pups, whom she adored. She resided in a memory care private residence in Las Vegas, NV most recently where she was loved and cherished by the staff and residents.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Felix, her son Donald Allison, her daughter Nancy White, her son-in-law Thomas White, her grandson Donald Allison Jr., and her great-grandson Jackson Allison. Peggy was preceded in death by her son Robert Allison, her son-in-law Gustavo Felix, her brothers John and Joseph Orolin, her sister Mary Connors, and her former husband, Wilbur Allison.

The viewing for Peggy will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 9 am at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ 85248. A graveside service will follow.

Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery in Chandler, AZ, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements. She will be laid to rest with her beloved son, Robert Allison, who passed away in 2013.
