Kenny was born in Milburn, OK on September 15, 1938, to Arthur and Estel Allen. His family moved West when Kenny was 8 years old. He grew up in Chandler, AZ graduating from Chandler High School class of 1957.
Kenny is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Janet McNeil Allen, two brothers, Leroy (Peggy) Allen and Leon (Marcia) Allen and one sister, Georgia Corbello. He was proceeded in death by his four older brothers. Kenny is survived by his two children from a previous marriage, Amber (Brad) Tidwell and Dallas (Tammy) Allen, two grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Also, two stepchildren, Kenneth Compton, and Krista (James) Slocum, and three step-grandchildren.
Kenny worked thirty-seven years for Southern Pacific Railroad and was active in the greyhound racing industry. He had racing contracts in seven states and training farms in Arizona, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Kenny is a past President of the National Greyhound Association Board of Directors and was inducted into the Greyhound Hall of Fame in 2019.
After retirement Kenny moved from Abilene, KS back to Arizona to be closer to family. As a result of complications from surgery, Kenny passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 21, 2023.
