Karen was born March 26, 1943 in New Eagle, PA. She moved from Pennsylvania to Arizona in August of 1998.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph L. Taravella, and daughters, Jackie Hickner (George) and Denise Nutter (Bob).
She was a born-again Christian. She showed her devotion to God through service as a missionary in Haiti.
She had a love of animals and used her passion for cooking to share her love with family and friends.
A visitation for Karen will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 East Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
