John F. Haines 81 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2013. John was born to Marion and Mabel Haines on November 28, 1931, in Mitchell, South Dakota. John was stationed In Alaska on ski patrol during the Korean War. He is survived by his loving wife of over 59 years, Virginia L. Haines as well as his son’s John F. (Lissa) Haines Jr., Michael (Vanessa) Haines , daughters, Vickie (Bill) Hukill, Joni (John) Bell and Tracy (Steve) Slack, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Mabel Haines, as well his sister Mary Lou Nation, son Steven Haines and grandson Garrett Haines.
