Donald George Stauss

A celebration of life will be held on November 9, 2023 in Chandler, Arizona at Valley Of The Sun Mortuary.

Don was born May 18, 1949 in Rugby, North Dakota to John and Annie (Malsom)Stauss. The family later moved to Aberdeen, SD where Don attended St. Mary’s grade school and graduated from Aberdeen Central high school in 1967. He moved to Oregon later that year.

Don married Sharon (Schaffer) Stauss on September 9, 1972. They had two children.

Don worked at Direct Link in Canby, Oregon from 1979 until his retirement in 2007. Don enjoyed traveling, golfing, coaching kids sports and being a Cub Scouts den leader. One of his favorite little trips was going to the gambling casinos and oftentimes he was quite lucky.

Grateful for having shared Don’s life, are his wife, Sharon, children, Sean (Stephanie) of Queen Creek, Arizona, his daughter Kimberly Anne of Chandler, AZ, his grandchildren, Sophia, and Skyler Stauss, of Queen, Creek, Arizona. His brothers, Richard, (Vicky)Stauss of Oregon City, Oregon, Ervin, (Pamela) Stauss, Radford, Virginia, Duane, (Pat) Stauss of Sioux Falls, South Dakota his sisters, Carol, (Scott)Thomas of Killeen , Texas and Sharon Kay Fahrendorf of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and several nieces and nephews. Don was

preceded in death by his parents.
