Cecilia Eleanor Yanez

She was born on June 4, 1940 in Mesa, Arizona and later graduated from Seton Catholic High School. Cecilia married Pedro E. "Pete" Yanez on May 30, 1959 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chandler, Arizona.

Cecilia worked as an engineer equipment buyer for Motorola for over 30 years before retiring and volunteering at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Queen Creek. She also founded the gift shop at the church (formerly Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission) and was eventually hired onto their staff, dedicating over 30 years of service at Our Lady of Guadalupe.

She is survived by her children: sons, Peter "Junior" and Rick; daughters, Sabrina and Melissa; grandchildren: Bianca, Joey, and Paloma; 1 great grandchild, Angelo; brother, Billy and sister-in-law, Yolanda. Cecilia is preceded in passing by her husband, Pete; brother, Leonard; sister, Alicia; and sister-in-law, Helen.

A rosary and funeral mass for Cecilia will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025 starting at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 20615 E Ocotillo Road, Queen Creek, Arizona 85142. Following services at church, a graveside service for Cecilia will be held at 1:00 PM at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona 85248.
