Billy was born December 14, 1946 in Chambersburg, PA to the late John and Mary (Hicks) Caldwell.
He is proceeded in death by his sister Anna F. Caldwell and brothers John W. and Joseph E. Caldwell.
Billy spend the majority of his life as a diesel mechanic before retiring from Letterkenny. Since retirement Billy spent the last 13 years helping and working alongside friends at T&G Car Sales. Billy also dedicated the last 20 years to the Shippensburg Fair Grounds as the grounds keeper. Billy enjoyed fishing, the beach, watching and collecting race cars as well as taking Bus trips to the races with Farner's Racing. He enjoyed his daily breakfast for at least the last decade with friends at local diners in Shippensburg, PA. Billy was also a dedicated member and Volunteer of the American Legion Post 46.
Surviving Billy are his daughters Miranda (Mandi) Caldwell of Fayetteville, PA and Brandi Bonds of Shippensburg, Pa; his sons Billy Caldwell Jr. of East Berlin, PA and Kevin Caldwell of Stevensville, MD; 11 grandchildren; Tayshaun, Daniah, Tyray, Aaliyah, Destiny, Justice, Kingston, Alaric, Dimonie, Kilian, and Kassandra and a great grandchild Lilyanna; his sister Bonita Koontz of Newville, Pa and brothers James Caldwell of Fort Collins, CO and Larry Caldwell of Fannetsburg, PA. Billy also leaves behind a great bunch of friends who over the years became his family.
A visitation will be held on Thursday March 4, 2021 from 10:00-12:00pm at Parklawns Funeral Home; 3218 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201. A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm with a burial to follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
