Walter Eugene Tamor Sr.

Walter Eugene Tamor, Sr., our Father and Friend, left us on May 30th at the age of 87 to join the love of his life Gayle Lind Tamor. He leaves behind his four Children, Walter, Jr. (Pat), Kevin (Laura), Scott (Marilyn), and Jan (Craig). Grandchildren, Dustin (Liz), Mathieu (Carly), Brooke (David), Megan (Jeremy), Katie (Jonathan), Laiq (Brittany), and MaryBeth (Dustin). Great Grandchildren, Jaiden, Colt, Izzy, Scarlett, and Lucas. He is preceded in death by his parents Mathieu and Florence Tamor. Brother of Elise, Richard, Inez, Minnie, Ronnie, and the late Louise, Billie, Tessie, Raymond, and Bappy. Brother-in-law of Linda, Lettie, H.J., Carlos, and Donna. Also friend of Cathy. Walter served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and retired as a Carpenter from the Local 1846. He will not only be missed by his family, but to all the friends he made throughout his life. Everyone knew that if you needed a helping hand, Walter was there for you. Relatives and friends are invited to share one last cup of coffee in honor of Walter at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM and on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 8:00 am until 10:00 am. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at 10:00 am.
