Vincent Catania, III born in New Orleans on January 8, 1936, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2016 at his home, at the age of 80. He was a resident of Chalmette for over 50 years. Vincent is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Patsy and is two daughters Dawn Catania, Crystal Catania (Paul) and two stepsons Robbie Nunez and Patrick Louis Estorge. Sisters Ann Catania Mahle (John) and Lydia Catania Bell (Patrick). Grandchildren Michael Vincent Catania, Jr., Brittney Catania, Haley Catania, Halayna Catania, Raven Cochran, Jah'lio Hymble, Blayne Rockwell, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Vincent Catania, Jr., his mother Irene Neff Catania and his son Michael Vincent Catania Sr. He was well loved and will be deeply missed by his family and by all those whose lives he touched. He graduated from Delgado where studied to be an electrician. He retired for NOPSI after 20 years and Started Vincent Electrical until 2007 when he retired and closed his business. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Archbishop J. F. Rummel Council No. 5747. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, August 18th from 10:00AM – 12:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass in Vincent’s memory beginning at 12:00PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
