Steven Gerard Nicholson

Steven Gerard Nicholson, age 59, of Metairie, Louisiana passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021. Steven was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Joseph Nicholson.

Steven was born October 16, 1961 in New Orleans, LA to Gene James Nicholson and Jean Carolyn Smith Nicholson. Steven was the loving brother of Linda Miranda (Leroy), Karen Froeba (Jerry) and Kenneth Nicholson. Proud uncle of Maria, Elena, Drew, Brenda, Leroy Jr., Angela, Kate, Jarett and Jordan as well as several grand-nieces and nephews.

Steven graduated from UNO with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama & Communications. He was an accomplished videographer and artist for over 40 years. He was credited with AV (audio visual) work on many New Orleans produced shows, documentaries, films, commercials and conventions. He had many accolades and awards and was admired and respected by colleagues for his gifts and talents in his field.

A visitation for Steven will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St. Chalmette, LA 70043. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM at St. Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens Cemetery
