Steve Anthony Pilet, born July 3, 1956, age 57, entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 1, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Devoted husband of Cheryl Cosse Pilet for 35 years. Beloved son of the late Theodore Pilet, Sr. and Gloria Held Pilet. Brother of Theodore, Jr., Dennis, Sr., Kathi McDonald and Randy. Brother-in-law of Bonnie and Bob Fezekas, Dale and Dana Pilet. Steve loved and was loved by all his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, especially Shane Raimer who was Steve's honorary son. Steve was treasured by all who knew him for his kind heart and giving spirit. Steve was the Grandson of the late James and Lillian Pilet, Walter Mathis, Clarence and Amelia Cefalu. Son-in-law of the late Harold and Shirley Cosse. Steve was a resident of Chalmette, LA for 49 years. He was the owner of Steve Pilet Distributors, a milk delivery company for Brown’s Dairy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
