Mary Ellen Schorr Warner passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 30, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the loving wife to her husband, Thomas Robert Warner for 67 years. Along with her husband, she is also survived by her seven children, Beth Wiedemann (Mike), Mary Lambert (Lonnie), Tommy Warner (Laura), Terry Warner (Stacy), Kevin Warner (Mary Louise), Sean Warner (Michele) and Peggy Thompson (Patrick).
She is survived by her 18 grandchildren, Brannon Wiedemann (Adam Whitworth), Kyle Wiedemann (Christie), Ross Wiedemann (Adele), Trent Wiedemann (Abby), Marcelle Lambert Braud (Evan), Rory Lambert, Brett Lambert (Chloe), Kay Lehmann (Carey), Trevor Warner (Morgan), Tanner Warner, Barrett Warner (Anita), Shane Warner (Olivia), Grant Warner, Amanda Plaiscia, Alex Warner, Morgan Warner, Peyton Thompson and Madison Thompson. She is also survived by her four great grandchildren, Joan Wiedemann, Anders Whitworth, Luke Lehmann and Hudson Warner, along with many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Robert Schorr and Maude Gallagher Schorr and predeceased by her siblings Helen Schorr Steib, Henry John Schorr, Sr. and George Eugene Schorr.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She devoted her life to her family and delighted in spending her time and focus on them. She was our understated super hero and we will miss her dearly. We would like to thank Passages Hospice and all of her caregivers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA 70043 on Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass in Mary’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Masses or donations to Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church would be appreciated.
