Dorreen J. Couture

Dorreen Ann Johnson Couture, age 68, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 11, 2024. Dorreen was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. She is Survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Steven David Couture. Daughter of the late Frederick Johnson Sr. and the late Myrna Sahuque Johnson. Loving Mother of the late Jason Scott Couture, the late Steven Michael Couture, Sr. and Kelli Couture Granger. Mother-in-law of William Shannon Granger. Sister of Karen Claverie (Glenn Sanchez), Diane Anglada (Rodney), Frederick Johnson Jr., Sheila Robin, the late David Johnson, and the late Earl Johnson. Sister in law of Robert Couture, Jr., Glen Couture (Collette), Clifton Couture (Kelly), and Karen Couture Giesemann (Tommy). Proud grandmother of Cassidy Hanna Couture, Steven Michael Couture, Jr., Austin Laine Granger and Easton Laine Granger.

Dorreen worked as a Paraprofessional for the St. Bernard School System for many years where her smile would brighten any room. Her warmth and kindness touched many lives, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, loving family and dear friends. Dorreen’s spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

A private ceremony will honor her memory, attended by immediate family members only.
