Cynthia Ruiz Miller

Cynthia Ruiz Miller, 83, of Braithwaite, LA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, June 9, 2023. A loving wife and mother, Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband, the late Lynn Miller; parents, the late Joseph and Inez Ruiz; sister, the late Sylvia Meyers (William); granddaughter-in-law, the late Maddie Miller; and loving friend, the late Irvan Melerine Sr. She is survived by her son, Chris Miller (Kerry); daughter, Monica Randazzo (Damon); and grandchildren, Casey Miller Mones (Michael), Codey Miller, Damon Randazzo, Jr. and Maci Randazzo. Loving great grandmother to Miles Miller, and step great grandson, Mason Mones. She is also survived by her sister, JoAnn Roberts (Ernie); sister-in-law, Stella Jones; and nieces and nephews.

Cynthia was born in New Orleans, LA, on December 18, 1939, and grew up in Violet, LA. She resided most of her adult life in Braithwaite, LA. She was employed at the Michoud Assembly Facility as an employee for Boeing, Martin Marietta, and retired from Lockheed Martin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, June 16, 2023, at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St. Chalmette, in Chalmette, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral mass will be held in Cynthia’s memory at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, 2805 Bayou Road, in St. Bernard.
