Bruce was born on July 16, 1946 to the late Bruce Richard Lohfink, Sr. and the late Frances Lopez Lohfink. He was the beloved husband of the late Dianne Lohfink, who preceded him in death in 2019. He leaves behind his daughter, Lisa Young (Jeff), his grandson and best friend, Nicholas Young, siblings, Glenn Lohfink (Jodie), Darlene Dupre, Janice Lohfink, David Lohfink (Sandra) and the late Janet Schubert and Alton Dupre, his in-laws Charles Graffagnini, Jr., Karen Dembrun, (Ricky), David Graffagnini, Sr. and the late Richard Graffagnini. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Bruce was a proud graduate of F. T. Nicholls (1964) before attending Southeastern University. He retired as a contract administrator from the Maritime Administration in 2007, was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church. Bruce will be forever remembered as a kind, generous and caring man whose favorite pastimes were reminiscing with his siblings, sharing stories about his football days at Nicholls and spending time with his grandson. He will be deeply missed and always cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. A Memorial Service in his honor will begin at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
