Rose Marie Muller passed away on November 9, 2015 at the age of 93. Rose Marie (Buergler) Muller was born In Lakewood, WA on December 28, 1921 to Joseph and Josephine (Gisler) Buergler, where she joined a sister Christine who was 2 years old. Her family moved to Chehalis for a few months then they moved to Raymond. She started school in Raymond. In January 1930, at the age of 9 years her family moved to a farm in Ridgefield. About a year later they moved to Woodland. In September of 1933 they moved back to Raymond. She graduated from Raymond High School in 1939 as co-salutatorian.
After graduation she worked doing housework until she was hired as bookkeeper for the Raymond Market in February 1940.
Rose married Louie H. Muller of Pe Ell on June 20, 1942. She moved to Pe Ell where they raised four children; Joseph Louie, David John, James Robert, and Janice Rose.
Rose enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, celebrating her Swiss Heritage and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a member of the Tacoma Swiss Ladies Society, St. Joseph’s Altar Society and Lewis Pacific Swiss Society.
Her husband of 67½ years, Louie, passed away on December 23, 2009.
Preceding her in death were her parents Joseph and Josephine Buergler, sister Christine Muller, nephew Carl Muller, and great granddaughter Taylor Josephine Muller.
She is survived by her son Joe (Pat) Muller, David (Sue) Muller, James (Jil) Muller and Janice (Ron) Christen, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Rose will be held on November 14, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pe Ell, WA. Rosary at 11:15 and Funeral at Noon. Donations in memory of Rose may be sent to the Lewis-Pacific Swiss Society or the Pe Ell Fire Department.
