Mary Katherine Britton

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the sudden passing of Mary K. (Lund) Britton, age 39. Mary died on July 25th 2016 in Bellevue, Washington. On that day a life was lost that was too short and had so much more to give.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Douglas A. Britton; sister Karen (Jerry)Edwards; father, David J. Lund; In-Laws, Don, Heidi, and Sandy Britton; and numerous other family members and friends.

She was a devoted sister to her brother Robert (Bobby) D. Lund Spc. 4 Army (deceased) and her sister Karen Edwards. She was especially proud of her niece and two nephews.

She was born on March 17, 1977 in Centralia Washington. She graduated from W.F West High School in Chehalis’ class of ’95, and then went on to graduate from Washington State University with Honors in Nursing. She was a compassionate Nurse who took pride in her work.

Mary had lived in Melissa, Texas for the last 2 years, and was in Washington visiting family and friends when God came calling.

She was active in the Equine Showmanship world in Washington and Texas. Her passion for showing horses has left a hole in the hearts of an enormous Equine community, who will continue to love and remember her. She was also involved in training her favorite agility dog, Bella.

She touched so many lives with her big heart and infectious smile.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 13th, 2016, at Sticklin Funeral Chapel in Centralia.
