Gina Mauree Avery

Gina Mauree Avery, age 65, was called home to Glory on November 23, 2022. Gina was born to Melvin Korb and Virginia Warwick Johnston on August 25, 1957. Gina is preceded by siblings Brenda, Barton and Kevin. She is survived by five siblings; MK Jr. (Lue), Linda Kennedy (Harlen-deceased), Steven (Barb), Rhonda, Lydia Smith (Patrick); as well as Sharon (Kevin) and numerous nieces and nephews. Gina is also survived by her husband of 43 years, Gary Avery.

Gina graduated from Weston High School in Cazenovia, Wisconsin in 1975, the University of Central Florida in Orlando with a BA in 1983, and a Master’s in Education in December of 1994. She retired after nearly 30 years of teaching in October of 2015, moving to Chehalis, Washington with her retired husband. Gina valiantly and courageously battled cancer for over 20 months before suddenly being called home, ending her long suffering. Gina will always be remembered for her outgoing personality, her contagious smile and being a loving and caring wife, sister, aunt and friend.

A Celebration of Life for Gina M. Avery will be held on December 17, 2022 at 11:00am at Chehalis Foursquare Church, 990 NW State Ave. Chehalis, WA.
