Lucille Miller

Lucille graduated Julia Richman High School on 68th Street in Manhattan, NY. She had a deep passion for swimming, and she spent countless hours at Golden Beach in Throgs Neck, where she was known for her skill in the water. She also enjoyed the thrill of gambling, frequently visiting Atlantic City with her beloved husband, as well as her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Travel was another joy in Lucille's life, and she loved exploring new places, as well as dining out and trying different cuisines. She began her career in Bonwit Teller, which was later taken over by Federated Department Stores. Lucille was eventually promoted to business secretary where she proudly worked until her retirement.

Family was always her center, and Lucille was most content when surrounded by her loved ones, especially after the passing of her dear husband. She found great happiness in sharing time with her family, creating memories, and always making sure to bring laughter into every room she entered.

Lucille was an avid sports fan, and she cherished watching her favorite teams, especially the Yankees, along with both baseball and basketball games. She was also a fixture on social media, where she loved to share her thoughts and posts—often with a sense of humor, even if her posts were sometimes a bit offbeat.

Lucille’s warmth, humor, and zest for life will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving family, whose lives she touched in countless ways.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 2326 Middle Country Road, Centereach, NY 11720. A graveside service and interment will follow on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3442 NY-112, Coram, NY 11727.

Lucille will forever be remembered for her love of life, her family, and her joyful spirit.
