I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Clay. He was a great man and always kind to our family. I remember when I was at his desk and he was showing me all his financial things and his writings. I saw then how intelligent he truly was. I hope the peace of knowing he touched a lot of lives gives you light in this time of darkness.

Our memories of Clay and Maria, Frank and Walter, center around the time when our son-in-law was suddenly paralyzed.  Their whole family was there for Gino at Craig Hospital, and for Tami and Dominic at home. They were eager to help and always seemed to know what was needed, when.  Clay's expertise and handy-man skills, including building a wheel-chair ramp and hanging drapes and shades, were much appreciated and fondly remembered by our family.

Clay's life was a blessing and a gift to his family and all those who knew and respected him.

Clay gave freely and asked for little in return.  He was a generous man. Clay was a teacher.  He taught and gave presentations to the CFA Society.  He taught me on an individual basis.  To his family and friends my best regards. We will miss Clay.

My father Art Ammann and Clay worked together and became good friends.  But I got to know Clay in the summer of 1991.
 
I was in college at the time and home for the summer before starting my final year.  He was kind enough to let me spend a bit of time with him in order to learn more about his business.  He was then generous enough to offer a kid with limited skills and no practical knowledge an internship for the summer.  Clay LOVED to teach.  I learned about technical analysis, engaged in the cumbersome task of creating a large number of point and figure charts by hand each week and listened to Clay boil down complex market action into something even I could at least begin to understand.
  
But these teachings were not the not ones that stuck.  Enthusiasm stuck. He was always in pursuit of information and understanding and his tireless enthusiasm was infectious. Generosity stuck.  Clay's generosity with his time and knowledge not only helped me directly but importantly demonstrated the joy one can get from being generous.

You will be missed.

Clay, you were a great man. You always had a story to tell and you were the first to jump to help when a friend needed it. The boys that Maria and you raised are living proof of the example you set and the legacy you have left to the rest of us. You have accomplished a lot! We will miss your heart, wit, kindness and character.

Clay,  You left too soon. I will never forget visiting with you about figuring out the stock market, particularly over a couple of brews. We would sketch graphs and trend lines during our discussions, but most importantly, we laughed a lot.  I will miss you.  To Maria, Frank and Walter,  my deepest sympathy.

Ahhh I met you so long ago at Aunt Sally's in Fayetteville..Your sons and my son Jeremy were babies:)I enjoyed our visit..and wished that we had not lost touch...My sincere condolences to Maria Walter and Frank. You will be missed.. Cousin Kathy (Wiggins) McCraw
