Thomas E Turner was born on September 7, 1947 to John Thomas Turner and Lillian Lorene Hogan Turner. Tom was born, raised, and educated in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated in 1971, from Texas Tech University with a Business Degree.
On August 6, 1994, Tom married Patricia Ann Graham-Muther and they built a beautiful life together. Tom was definitely a type A+++ personality and never let the grass grow under his feet. He was a proud father of 3 boys and raised them to be devoted to the community as they currently serve in the military and law enforcement. Tom loved to cook and entertain folks for dinner, BBQ's and special events. He was an icecreamaholic and specialized in homemade vanilla.
Tom was a successful business owner of Mountain States Reps & Associates, Inc., Mountain States Warehousing, Inc., and S.Y.S.T.E.M.S. Training, Inc. He was also very active in his church; Orchard Road Christian Center which is now Encounter Church and he led the Men of Purpose for many years until he became ill.
On Saturday, April 15, 2023 at age 75, Tom passed away surrounded by his family.
Tom is preceded in death by his father, mother, and 3 sisters; Everie, Charlsie and Glenda.
Tom is survived by his wife of 28 years, 3 children; Jared, Robert and Stephen, 11 grandchildren, extended family and friends. He hopes that they will carry on the mottos that he created when he was ill: 1: Choose to be content no matter where you are in life and strive for the best. 2: Never give up. 3: Always have a I CAN attitude; never a 'round to it attitude. Most importantly, #4: BELIEVE IN JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR; THEN HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS. #5: HAVE AND KEEP A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS. #6: STAY IN AND STUDY THE BIBLE.
