Terry Ellis Rowe, 67, passed away December 31, 2017 in Littleton, Colorado. He was survived by his wife, Leslie, his stepson Steven and stepdaughter Sarah Galle (Peter) and grandchildren Eli and Claire. He was also survived by his son Matthew Rowe, daughter Regan Rowe and brother Dan Row of Fresno, California. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Catherine (Schafer) and father Merel Ellis Rowe and his siblings Sharon and Helen Rowe.
Terry was born May 21, 1950 in Fresno, California. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Fresno in 1968.
Staff Sergeant Rowe Fire Protection Specialist served in the Air Force Reserve in Fresno California. From 68-75. He was part of the California Air National Guard serving in Biloxi, Mississippi during Hurricane Camille. The eye of the storm came directly over his position.
Terry served 20 years as a police officer (motorcycle patrolman) for the Fresno Police Department. During that time, he also was a light heavy weight boxer at the Police Olympics.
He married Diane Bock in 1971 in Fresno California. They had Matthew and Regan Rowe.
He married Leslie Dunshee Stout in 1988 in Cambria, CA. They moved to Colorado in 1994 where he worked for Colorado Department of Transportation for 19 years and earned a major safety distinction (15-year Accident Free). He began working on I-70 near Idaho Springs and was a lead worker in 2002 at Coal Creek Highway 72.
Terry enjoyed his Harley, loved his family and his animals. He was an extremely talented cook. If you could think of the dish, he could make it. He was an extraordinary man who processed a great sense of humor.
A celebration of life will be held Olinger Chapel Hill. 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121 at 2:00 p.m. in conjunction with his recently deceased wife, Leslie. November 9th, 2019.
