Those who knew Maxine were blessed.  Her smile and gentle demeanor will be missed.  Her life was a legacy of dedication, faith and service.  Thanks to her for a wonderful life that was an example to others.

So many memories of Maxine, where to start? Here are a few. Sitting in her house with Jeanne Brooks, listening as they talked about all their children. Visiting with her as Jim tied fishing flies.Her love for her little white poodles. Not to mention the parrot. Her frustration that after the branch became a ward, every time Jim went to church there would be some discussion of the word of wisdom. Her patient waiting and praying. And the Joy when they went to the Temple at last. Her tender nursing of Jim. Maxine was so excited to go on a genealogy mission. Lots of talk about gardening. Her traveling bag of quilt squares she took with her for the many hours she sat with her patient. The year she  decided to make jackets with beautiful appliques for the family. I remember in the church library, she had to climb on a stool to to work the copier. Lots of days she went swimming to keep her independence. Baked goodies at Christmas baked in a stove that used gas or charcoal. She loved mangoes. But most of all she loved her family. Trying to fit in my visiting teaching between her going to see her sisters. She was a diligent visiting teacher. Hours of just sitting and talking.I remember how amazed she was that when she was in her eighties, her cousin Gene would choose her to be the person to make sure the nursing home was taking proper care of him. But I was not surprised. He knew what I knew. Maxine Moyle was a woman of strength and great faith and great love. And if he asked her to do it, it would be well done. I am so grateful she is my friend and I look forward to the day we will hug again.

When our Front Range Ward got formed 2 years ago, sweet Maxine would come to me and asked me if I had her visiting teaching route organized yet. I could tell her life had been one of service. It was a pleasure being around her! She radiated the pure love of Christ! And so does everyone of her children!

Maxine has been a part of my life for over 40 years. She was always so gracious and kind to me and my mom when she visited as they were both nurses. We will miss her.

I am so grateful for Grandma and the many things she taught me.  A few of the things she taught me were how to garden, how to sew and how to quilt. She taught me the importance of family and spending time together.  She taught me that no matter what life brings, you have to just keep on living.  She taught me the importance of having a sense of humor.  She had a smile on her face and was laughing all the way to the end.   I am so grateful for the time I got to spend with Grandma on Friday evenings and the fun we had.  I will miss her terribly but I'm so happy that she gets to be with Grandpa again.  Love you Grandma!

Dear Mom,

I'm sure you are having a grand reunion with Dad and the rest of our family.  I am so happy for you. Thank  you for being the best Mom in the world.  I LOVE YOU and I will miss you always.

My mom taught me everything I needed to know. When I was being taught I never thought about the fact that I would need and use all of her lessons all through out my life. 

First and foremost she taught me Love. Love of family, and love for the gospel of the church. She let me lean on her unwavering testimony until I was strong enough to build my own.

She taught me how to care for my younger brothers and sisters when I was young. Caring for them I learned responsibility.

She taught me to cook and clean. The lesson for me later in life was that I knew how to take care of my home. 

Mom's two goals in life were being a mommy and a nurse.  She excelled in both.

Even after I moved to Wisconsin mom was always just a phone call away.

I will always be grateful for the chance I had to use all of those lessons in the last two years when I would come and take care of and spend time with her. I will cherish each and every moment.

Mom, remember to tell Dad and the rest of our family hi and that I love them.

Thank you mom for all of life's lessons; I love you and I will miss you til we meet again.

I want to tell you about MY Mom.  My Mom was the first one up in the morning and the last one in bed at night.  My Mom was up first because she had to feed seven kids breakfast, get them dressed and ready for school all before heading out the door to go to work.  Even after raising my own kids and now having grandkids I have no idea how My Mom found time to do all that My Mom did.  For example, on the many camping trips of my childhood, My Mom packed all of the stuff that goes with a family of nine and all of us kids.  My Mom cared for all of us kids, prepared all of the meals and you would still see her fishing at some point during the day.   
My Mom said I was accident prone but the truth is, I just wasn't paying attention much of the time.  I am lucky My Mom was not just My Mom but a nurse as well.  She never fixed the accident prone part of me but, be it major or minor My Mom always fixed the physical damage done.  My Mom and Dad taught me right from wrong and how to do the right thing just because it is the right thing.  My mom taught me nice.  Some may remember My Mom differently but these are a few of my many memories of MY MOM.  I am sure that whatever “nice” there is in me, that came from MY Mom.  I miss MY MOM.

All of the Moyles are good people but Maxine was a special person.  She always
had a smile on her face for all she met.  Maxine will always have a place in my
heart for who she was, being a friend of my mother and then a friend of mine.
She will be missed very much......

Our condolences to the family over the passing of their Mother and Grandmother. Maxine and Jim were a great asset to the Evergreen Branch when we lived there in the '70s. They and their children helped hold the struggling Branch together. A story I heard from Coke Newell in 2000: He was in the Joseph Smith building in SLC and saw her in the elevator. He recognized her and asked her if she remembered him, who by this time was missing his hair, mustache and beard. She said yes but he didn't look like the Coke Newell she remembered. She was a humble loving lady. We will miss her.

Gram, I cannot begin to put into words what you mean to me.  The one word that sums it up for me is LOVE.  You had an incredible ability to love.  I am grateful that you taught us all how to love and taught us how important family is.  I am so very grateful you accepted the gospel and shared your testimony of Jesus Christ with me.  This is by far one of my greatest blessings.  Some of my greatest memories are the family gatherings which were frequent.  I treasure the gifts you made me such as my quilt, which I have used for the past 17 years, my cabbage patch dolls and my coat.  They always bring fond memories.  I also remember the fantastic chocolate Easter eggs..... so yummy.  I am also grateful for your influence in my career.  Becoming a nurse was one of the best decisions I have made.  It brings me Such happiness.  I feel your influence in almost every aspect of my life.  I am so grateful I had the best grandma anyone could ever ask for.  I love you and am looking forward to the day we will be reunited again.

Maxine had the most radiant smile.  Her eyes always had sparkle.  It was a treat to see her every Sunday and feel of her warmth.  She will be missed as a very special lady.

So many special times with this dear lady.  She has certainly earned her place in the eternities.  I will miss you Maxine.

Maxine and Jim Moyle were the first members we met in 1974 when we moved into the old Evergreen Branch.  We have never known Maxine without a smile on her face.  Jim will be very happy to greet her and we will all miss her.

All of the Moyles are people you can't help but love, and Maxine was certainly among the precious mountain people that were a joy to know and be around.  I am so glad you were all a part of my life.

We will miss your kindness, love and your smile.  Herman especially enjoyed being your home teacher for so many years, and loved his visits with you and Kevin.  May your reunion with loved ones be joyous.

I so loved working in the library with Sister Moyle! We struggled together figuring out that darn printer! She helped me and I helped her with all the different problems that would arise there in the early mornings. I loved her determination and strong spirit. She reminded me so much of Gram - Jerol's grandma. As Gram would say "She was a grand person!" I'm sure there was much rejoicing when Maxine arrived on the other side. We will miss her and remember her fine example til we meet again.

Love and prayers for comfort from the Christensen family. Maxine was "Grandma  Moyle" to our children who didn't have grandparents nearby. She is an example of service, hard work, a positive attitude, and grace. We are blessed to have had her in our lives.

Thank you so much for the wonderful life you have given each of us!  We are all better for having you in our lives.  I have been so blessed by your example and love.  I so appreciate all the time you spent with me talking about our ancestors and life in general.  You always made everything better - in my child's mind, grandma could fix everyone & everything.  It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized what an amazing job you did raising your children who inturn raised their children to love family.  We are all very lucky that you made family a top priority.  When I think of grandma, I think of your house - all of our family gatherings started at your house. I think of the creek that us kids would play in for hours, the hill at the camp that we tubed at, the chocolate Easter eggs, the cabbage patch dolls you made each of us, the blankets, the quilts... So many things come to mind when I think back 40 yrs.  I am most appreciative of your testimony, the love of our Savior and the gospel.  THANK YOU for listening to those missionaries so long ago and living your life to return to him.  Gram - I love you so much and will miss you tremendously.  Until we meet again on the other side!!!!
