Margaret Ann graduated from Dalton High School, class of 1941, and in 1945 received her degree in Mathematics, minor in Physics from Chadron State College. After teaching for two years in Nebraska, she moved to Denver to start an extensive career with the airlines. Initially she flew as a flight attendant and then worked more than 30 years in several different business departments as an analyst with United Air Lines. Margaret Ann enjoyed extensive traveling around the world, ball room dancing, and playing the organ. She was a member of Cathedral Club, Sister Cities of Aurora, and the ABWA. After retiring, every fall, she taught English at the seminary in Zielona Gora, Poland for more than ten years.
Margaret Ann is survived by her sister, Mary C. Kauffman of Denver, CO. Several nieces and nephews and their children include: Dan Kauffman of Denver, CO, Margaret Jean Clayville of Salisbury, MD, Gary Washauer of Los Altos, CA, Wanda Patane of Redwood City, CA, and Dr. Hugh Foy of Seattle, WA. There are many other relatives and friends that were specially dear to Margaret Ann including Guy James of Denver, CO, Fr. Peter Kubiak and Zielona Gora of Poland, and the staff and residents of Morning Star at Dayton Place. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Edward J. Foy of Edmunds, WA, and a sister, LaVerne Washauer of San Carlos, CA.
