Most recently living out his dream in New York City, Kyle passed away in Brooklyn, New York, on February 3, 2022, at the age of 25 years old. Kyle was born to Neil and Peggy Hansen in Denver, Colorado, along side his twin brother and best friend, Connor Hansen, on February 27, 1996.
His natural inquisitiveness, humorous attitude and love of fun, made him many life long best friends at Red Rocks Elementary School and Dakota Ridge High School, where he enjoyed playing on the DR soccer team. Kyle graduated in 2018 from Colorado State University, where he was involved in Finance Club, RAMS welcome, Sigma NU fraternity (where he also made very close friends), as well as extracurricular activities. His gift of telling stories of life were hilariously funny and kept friends laughing, as well as himself. They will be forever treasured by family and friends.
Upon graduating from CSU with a degree in Business Management/Finance, Kyle obtained a job as a trader with Charles Schwab and Company in Denver. Finance was his passion and within 3 years he was promoted to Senior Derivatives Specialist.
Kyle loved the outdoors, always looking for that next mountain to hike, snowboarding the black diamonds, fishing CO rivers or dirt biking in Moab. He loved the challenge of playing chess, rooting for the Rockies, a love of dancing wherever he was and playing the piano. Kyle traveled each year with family and friends, most especially to Europe. Kyle embraced to the fullest every beautiful moment in life.
Kyle is survived by his mother, Peggy and his brother, Connor of Denver, Colorado. Kyle’s family of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends will miss his glowing smile, laughter and endless charm. We believe Kyle is with his father, Neil, step father, Bruce, grandparents, James and Martha Woodyard and Myland and Leona Hansen, Aunt Kathy and Uncle Leon, in addition to other relatives and friends who have passed too soon.
A celebration of life was held on March 9, 2022, at 11 am at Breckenridge Brewery, in Littleton, Colorado. Burial was held at Olinger Chapel Hill in Littleton on May 21, 2022. If you wish to make a donation in Kyle’s memory, please consider St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Winter Park’s National Sports Center for the Disabled or Face It Foundation.
