Kathryn Ann Sorensen (Klotz), engineer and loving mother died age 58 on April 18, 2022. She was Born April 26, 1963 in Germany of Robert J and Kathe Klotz. After traveling the world as the child of military parents along with her siblings Betty, Inger, Olav and Elizabeth, she settled in Colorado Springs, CO.
Kathy was a tremendous athlete, playing high school basketball and softball. After earning a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Colorado Tech she went to work for Lockheed Martin as an Electrical Engineer. There she met the love of her life in Harry Sorensen and married him 20 years ago. After spending much leisure time traveling, camping and fishing she gave birth to twin boys, Harry and Christian. A few years later she moved to Centennial, CO for the boys’ school.
Kathy’s health began to worsen but the love for her family kept her strong and optimistic throughout all the surgeries and hospital stays.
A memorial will be held at Mt. Lindo June 18th at 10am.
