Joan Horner Krueger passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2017 at the age of 84. Born in Denver, Colorado in 1932, Joan was a resident of Colorado for most of her life. She attended Kent School for Girls and graduated in 1951. Joan was an enthusiastic participant in life. Joan married her high school sweetheart Carl F (Fritz) Krueger whom she is survived by. They were married for 65 years. Joan was the mother of three boys: Chris (wife, Rhea), Dave (wife, Terri) and Andy (wife, Megan), grandmother of four boys: Jeff (wife Crissy), Jim, Cody and Flynn and great grandmother of two girls: Lilly and Reece. All of whom survive her. During her lifetime she found time to be a hospital volunteer, PEO member, an award winning flower arranger, English hand bell ringer, den mother, skier, jeeping enthusiast, theater and opera aficionado, family camping director, vacation and social planner. As a ranch owner Joan was an avid rider (American Saddlebred). Joan was also an enthusiastic world traveler, an excellent story teller, and a creative "turner of phrases", for which she was known. Joan continues to be loved by her family and will be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Funeral services will be held on Monday February 20 at 10:00am at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chapter FB - PEO Scholarship Fund, 5592 Nevada St., #109 Littleton CO 80120.
