Angela Antoinette de Cordoba

Angela “Angie” Antoinette de Cordoba, a beloved mother, wife, sister and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home in Centennial, Colorado on September 22th 2024 at the age of 88. Born in Chicago, Illinois on April 2, 1936, to Josephine and Joseph Sarno, Angie’s life was a blessing of love, hard work, curiosity, and creative pursuits with both her family and her friends.

Angie held several positions during her working life, which began in a family bakery in Chicago, and later office administrative positions in California, where she lived most of her life between high school and starting a family with her husband, Paul. In the early years, she split her time working and raising their two boys while Paul pursued graduate studies at Cal Poly University, SLO. They later moved to Littleton, CO (now Centennial) in 1972 when the boys were in elementary school, and later she worked as a customer banking advisor in a local bank.

Angie’s passions and pursuits included painting and gardening, playing tennis and taking full advantage of the Colorado outdoors, as well as starting a company specializing in real estate investment and new home development. She always made herself available to others to lend an ear, giving sage advice to loved ones, friends and customers, and loved spending time helping her family and neighbors.

Angie is survived by her two sons, Mark and Joe de Cordoba, her brother Tony Sarno and his wife Sherrill Silk, and her sister Linda Sarno and husband John McDevitt, as well as her grandchild, Jessica Neuroth and her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Paul Joseph de Cordoba, who passed away on June 25, 2002, also peacefully at their home.

A Funeral Mass and Rosary will be on Monday October 7th with the rosary beginning at 10:15 a.m. and a Mass celebration of Angie’s life will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas More parish in Centennial, CO where family, friends, and the community will gather to honor a life well-lived.
