Alan Cardenas, 33, of Aurora died at Denver Hospital.
Our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, Friend, and Teammate, Alan Anibal Cardenas, was born September 15, 1979 in Janesville, WI, son of Publio Cardenas and Julie English. He moved to Colorado from Horicon Wisconsin in 1993. He began High School at Coronodo in Colorado Springs, and finished senior year and graduated from Memorial in Eau Claire, WI. He joined the US Navy Sept 1998 where he studied in the Nuclear Power program. This gave him the training to pursue employment as an electrician.
He said his family “rocks!” He enjoyed being with his niece and nephews and wanted nothing but happiness for his family ~ wanting to feel safe and secure. He was very intelligent, friendly, and very kindhearted, with such a charismatic personality, a beautiful smile and twinkle in his eyes. He talked of having so many big plans and ideas to make the world a better place. The things he enjoyed in life most was sports especially swimming. He enjoyed meeting so many people and making friends along his journey in life. He will be greatly missed by many.
Survivors include his Father, Publio Cardenas; Mother Julie English; Sisters: Angela Cardenas (Everett Smith); Amanda Cardenas (Andrew Strouse); Nephews: Valentino Jordan Mack; Antonio Justice Mack. Niece: Andrija Majeah Strouse. He was loved by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
He was preceded in death by Cypriano Joaquin Wright; Anibal Cardenas, Dolores English, Alvin English, Trinidad Sandoval de Cardenas.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made the the Alan A Cardenas Memorial Fund - Wells Fargo Bank branches throughout the Denver Metropolitan Area can assist in ensuring that these funds are used to assist the family.
