Agnes Louise Scott (Hymes) 87, of Owings Mills, MD, died peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2023 in Catonsville, MD.
Agnes was born on September 12, 1935 in Morgantown, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late William Herbert Hymes and the late Stella Irene Hymes (Green); and wife of the late James R. Scott, Sr. She is survived by her sons, William (Joe) Scott (Patty Scott), and James R. Scott, Jr.; grandchildren, Lori Scott (John Cservek), and Andrew Scott (Rebecca Scott) and great granddaughter Alison Cservek; niece Cindy Taylor (Kevin) along with a host of other nieces and nephews and extended family.
She was a graduate of the Bachelor of Nursing program at West Virginia University and dedicated her entire career to the field of geriatric nursing until her retirement. She truly enjoyed her nursing career taking care of the elderly. She enjoyed watching birds, reading and taking walks.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Agnes’ name can be given to Salem Lutheran Church, 905 Frederick Road, Catonsville, MD 21228. Memorial services will be private and held at a later date.
