Vera Helen Wright of Larkspur peacefully transitioned into the afterlife on April 9, 2021. She passed away from natural causes. She was born on June 25, 1941 in California to parents Eric and Margaret Grant. She met her husband, Dick Wright, in Porterville, California, where she grew up. They both eventually became pilots. Dick later flew for the airlines, while she piloted small planes. Vera was a career flight instructor, and later became a truck driver. But Vera still maintained her pilot's license even late in life. Vera was a person of amazing talent and energy who inspired everyone she touched. She also had a big heart, adopting stray animals and helping friends in need. She continued working into her 70's and never retired. She was an active woman who loved driving trucks and being outdoors. She was also a person of deep religious conviction. She is survived by an older sister, Ruth Grant, of San Luis Obispo, California. She is also survived by her son, Kenneth, of Larkspur, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dick. Her sudden loss has profoundly impacted her family and her numerous friends.
