Richard D Jones
January 2, 1947 to January 5, 2020
Richard D (Dick) Jones, age 73 was born in Denver Colorado and was the son of Richard S Jones and Evelyn Jones. Married to his wife, Sharon in December of 1986.
He was a graduate of West High School in Denver, Colorado and attended both Colorado State University and Metro State College from 1965 to 1968. He also served honorably as a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserves.
His career path changed several times over the years first working for Henkel’s and McCoy of Pennsylvania as a Project Manager coordinating design and building of underground telephone systems and high voltage power lines. He then made a decision to return to Denver to work in the family business, Royal Auto Body for many years. Most recently, he was a loyal and valued employee of The Home Depot for the last 15 years.
Dick was a passionate hunter and fisherman, enjoyed the mountains, camping, gardening and loved his red Dodge Ram pickup.
He is survived by his wife Sharon and 3 children, Eric, Matt, Shannon, grandson Jordan, and will be missed terribly.
He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Evelyn Jones, and sister Carollyn Jones Balla.
