Peter Harrison

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Arthur Harrison, age 83, of Castle Rock, CO. Peter died early Monday morning, November 28th, 2022 from complications from Parkinson’s and a deep sadness from the loss of his wife of 61 years in July.

Peter is survived by his two daughters, Martine Meeks and Michelle Moore. A loving husband to his deceased wife Marian, and loving father to his deceased daughter Marika, he will be greatly missed by his two remaining daughters Martine Meeks and Michelle Moore; grandchildren: Matthew (Traci) Meeks, Amber (Brad) Hall, Benjamin (Taylor) Meeks, Emily (Joseph) Handshoe, Carly Hamilton, and Caitie Hamilton; ten great grandchildren; son-in-laws Dave, Nick and Brian.

Peter and Marian had many adventures in their life including emigrating to America with their three daughters in 1978. In 1989 they started a software company, Britannia, Inc., in Arroyo Grande, CA that they later relocated to Fort Wayne, IN and ran successfully for seventeen years. After selling the company in 2006 and retiring they moved to Tavares, FL to pursue their dream of traveling the world, spending many summers exploring Europe. Peter enjoyed many hours editing and perfecting his photography from their trips, and of the all the family for us to enjoy ongoing.

Peter was creative, intelligent, entrepreneurial, always looked out for the underdog, and if you asked him the time, he would tell you how a watch was made! He will continue to be a great inspiration to us all. We were blessed to have him in our lives for so long, and hope he is now at peace back with Marian as it had always been.
