BARDELL, MARY ETHEL, age 89, passed away on 01/01/2018. She was born on 11/04/1928 in Freeport Ill where she resided until 1960 when she, her husband, and four children moved to California residing in La Puente, Huntington Beach, Canyon Lake, and Apple Valley before moving to Colorado in 2016. She retired as a special education secretary from Marina High School in Huntington Beach.
She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord. She loved music and was an ardent choir member, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Karl, and daughter in law, Anne. She is survived by daughters Susan Bardell, Julie Gibbar (Percy), sons Dan (Charlotte) and Kevin, three grandchildren Samantha Comer (Dave), Daniel and Emma Bardell and a great granddaughter Hannah Comer, sisters in law Shirley Guffey and Caryl Guffey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled at the Canyon Lake Community Church on 1/27/2018 followed by interment with her husband at Riverside National Cemetery.
