Kenneth A. "Kenny" Jones

Kenneth A. “Kenny” Jones, age 78, of Sedalia, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023. He was born on November 14, 1944 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the son of E.A. Jones and Edna (Mathis) Jones. Ken married Linda Dillener, and they celebrated 54 years of marriage together.

Ken graduated from Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, and later attended the University of Colorado Boulder and received his Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. He then began his career with Lockheed Martin in Burbank, CA before moving to Denver to work for Martin Marietta, later Lockheed Martin. After leaving Lockheed Martin, he worked for Muniz Engineering, until his retirement.

Ken was active as a Boy Scout leader, a member of the board of directors for his neighborhood; and was an active member of Canyons Community Church in Castle Rock. In his spare time, Ken enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and many friends around the world. Ken’s great sense of humor and generous personality will be missed by all who knew him.

Ken is survived by his wife, Linda; their son Michael Jones and wife Kimberly; grandchildren Christopher and Nicholas Jones. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marilyn Burkland, and brothers Don Jones and Davey Jones.

A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Canyons Community Church, in Castle Rock.
