Jackie Lee Goudy, 84, of San Angelo, Texas, was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on December 24, 1934. He passed away on December 25, 2018, at Swedish Medical Center in Colorado, due to complications after having surgery for Pancreatic Cancer.
He graduated from Kokomo High School and he studied at Colorado State University.
Jack married Patricia AnnaBelle Thomas on August 28, 1960. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1955 and served 7 years. In 1962, he continued his career as a United States Government Civilian and worked at Lowry Air Force Base in the Technical Training division. Jack and Pat moved to San Angelo, Texas, in 1987 where he continued his career at Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo and at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He retired after 39 years of service to our country!
After retiring, he continued to enjoy living in San Angelo. He loved working in the yard, building fish ponds (of epic size), playing with electronics, learning to fly drones, woodworking, remodeling, eating good food especially at “Franco’s”, an occasional Gin and Tonic, poker games, playing FarmTown, watching his favorite sports teams: the Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets, traveling to see family and friends and enjoying their multiple animals. His most recent favorite pastime was feeding his many Koi Fish and playing with Boots, their new kitten. Most of all, he was a loving husband who loved taking care of his one true love, Pat and his Mother in Law, Jimmie Stalcup "Nana".
He was preceded in death by his Father Fred, his Mother Grace and his Brother Bill.
He is survived by: his wife Pat of 58 years, his 4 children: Terri, Kathy, Jeff and Lisa; his 3 Son in Laws: John, Ken and Rich; his 10 grandchildren: Jason, Alan, Danny, Alaina, Kristina, Alicia, Jamal, Max, Paige, and Alysa; his 2 Great Grandchildren: Xavius and Irelyn. In addition, he was survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 5724 Vistancia Ct, Parker, Colorado, 80134, from 12:00 noon to 4:00pm.
The family will have a private Military Honors ceremony in the Spring of 2019.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action
Network, to advance Pancreatic Cancer research.
