Diego married Erlinda Herrera on December 24th and worked in mining in several states. He loved camping and traveling throughout many states as a miner. Their final stop was Castle Rock, Colorado.
Diego was a devout catholic and member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing, and taking long walks. He had an outgoing personality, making friends with everyone he met. He was always joking and had a great sense of humor. He had a passion of playing the classic guitar, singing, reading, and above all spending time with his family.
Diego raised 8 children, 2 grandchildren and was a second father figure to many of his nieces, nephews, neighbors and others. He was always welcoming to his neighbors and always helped others. A loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, and a true friend he will be missed by all who knew him.
Diego was preceded in death by his son Alex Pacheco; son Tony Pacheco Jr.; sibling Rose Mondragon; sibling Alex Pacheco; sibling Isaac Martinez, and sibling Robert Pacheco.
Diego is survived by his wife, Erlinda Pacheco; his son Ken Pacheco; daughter Charlene Lopez and her husband Charles; son Phillip Pacheco; son Chris Pacheco; daughter Tammy Pacheco; son Anthony Pacheco and his wife Leticia; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; his sibling Eleanor Garduno; sibling Melicendro Pacheco and his wife Pauline; sibling Irene Sandoval.
Celebration of life for Diego will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel, 407 Jerry Street, Castle Rock, Colorado 80104. Following the celebration of life will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 880 E Wolfensberger, Castle Rock, Colorado 80109.
