Rebecca Man Chee Ng was born on November 9, 1951 in Hong Kong. She was the eldest of three children. She completed her general and maternity nursing training in Hong Kong, before moving to London, England in early 1974, where she continued working as a nurse.
She married Bing Ng on December 30, 1978. They had their first daughter, Sarah, in 1984 and moved to Arizona at the end of the year. Their second daughter, Joanna, was born in 1986. The family moved to North Carolina in 1991, where Rebecca and Binghave lived ever since.
Rebecca unconditionally loved and championed her family her entire life—supporting them through major life transitions, like when Bing retired from his career as a software engineer, Sarah transitioned jobs to become a hospitalist, and Joanna moved to NYC to work in book publishing.
Rebecca was an OR nurse at UNC Rex Hospital from January 2000 until her passing.
She is survived by her husband, daughters, sister, and brother.
