Merle Moore Filipowski

Merle Moore Filipowski died December 3, 2021. She was born in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of Ewell Gibson and Bertha Mae Moore. She lived a life of gratitude and integrity. She grew up in Washington D.C. and lived in McLean, VA before moving to Cary, NC in 1981.

She is survived by her son, Paul and grandsons, Trevor and Cameron; daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Keith Allison and granddaughter, Grace Allison of Furlong, PA. She is also survived by sister, Christina Davis of Raleigh, NC; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Adam and Tinie Filipowski of Chester, NY, William Filipowski of Henderson, NV, Edward Filipowski of Virginia Beach, VA, Francis and Sheila Filipowski of Cape Cod, MA, Mary Berlingeri of Jacksonville, OR and Anne Gilday of Hampton, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Monday, December 6, 2021 at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church, 110 SE Maynard Road, Cary. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the funeral starting at 2:00

PM. Graveside service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh.
