Mrs. Stephens was a homemaker. She was a life long member of Ephesus Baptist Church, where she served the nursery and children.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Stephens of Raleigh and Russell Stephens and his wife, Patricia of Rolesville; daughter, Jo Ann Peede of Lantana, FL; sister, Mary Baker of Wake Forest; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Stephens, and son-in-law, Warren Peede.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at Ephesus Baptist Church, 6767 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh 27607. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to Ephesus Baptist Church.
