She made people laugh from her childhood friends to her Hospice nurses. Whenever the nurses asked if they could get her anything, her response was “a cocktail would be nice”.
Mary was born in Brooklyn, NY to William and Agatha Hammond, who have predeceased her. She married the love of her life, Harold Rudolph, June 17, 1950 and was happily married until his passing in 2003.
Mary and Harold resided in Waldwick, NJ from 1952 until 1990, when they moved to Emerald Isle, NC.
Mary is survived by her son Mark Rudolph, her daughter-in-law Kathleen Rudolph, grandchildren Kaitlin Rudolph and Michael Rudolph.
She was very active in St. Mildred’s Catholic Church in Swansboro.
In 2017 she moved into Jordan Oaks Independent Living to be close to family and, when not playing
Rummikub, she could be found in the Bingo room.
In 2020 she moved into Woodland Terrance Memory Care and with all new nurses, she could tell her old jokes!
