Martha Ann Moore Jerome

Martha Ann Moore Jerome of 5202 Glenhope Ct, Cary, NC passed away Saturday evening. Martha Ann was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many people. She was a retired Administrative Secretary in the Physics Dept at NC State University. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, where she served as the Pastor's Assistant for Visitation.

Martha Ann was born on December 9, 1926 in Raleigh, NC at the first Rex Hospital to Alfred Vernon and Martha Wallace Goodman. She married C. Phillip Moore, Sr. in 1947 and they were married for 44 years before he passed away. In 2002, Martha Ann married longtime friend, Fred Jerome, and they lived at Glenaire Retirement Community until his death in 2015.

Martha Ann is survived by her son, Curtis P. Moore, Jr. and his wife Manee Moore of Garner, NC; three grandchildren, Vicki and her husband Jeremy Morris of Louisburg, NC; Phillip and wife Jackie Moore of Cary, NC; and Kim and husband George Sandel of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and eight great grandchildren, Justin Moore, Isabella and husband Christian Rogers, Jacob Morris, Joshua Morris, Hannah Sandel, Jessi Morris, Kinley Sandel, and Lilliana Moore.

Funeral service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Raleigh on Friday June 17, 2016 at 10:00am. Followed by a Burial service at Montlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship Fund c/o First Presbyterian Church, 112 S. Salisbury St., Raleigh, NC 27601.
