Linda was born in Columbia, PA on July 22, 1946 to Harry and Murel Kline. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the State of New York and worked for the federal government for over 35 years.
Linda worked in a variety of positions in the federal government as she traveled with her husband serving at various military bases throughout the world. Her service culminated with her position as Management Analyst with the EPA. Linda was active in many organizations happily and successfully fulfilling her role of “Army wife” and was named “Federal Employee of the year in 1980 at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. She loved to dance, attack complicated crossword puzzles, gameshows, try her luck at slot machines and travel. Most of all, she loved being a Mom and Nana to her children and grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved parents and sister Pat. She is survived by her devoted husband, Chris, 2 daughters, Patricia and her husband Ryan Hope, Nancy and her husband Timothy Palmer and her son, Christopher Jr.; grandchildren Adam, Alexander and Abigail Hope and Hannah and Mason Palmer, several cousins, nephews and nieces.
A visitation will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 SE Maynard Rd, Cary. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on September 2, 2022 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home with interment to follow at Wake Memorial Park.
