My deepest condolences to Scotty, Tammy, and the rest of Randy's extended family.

We met many years ago while playing basketball in what was known as the "Lumbo" league in Glendale, California. Little did I know, that a lifetime friendship would develop from that experience. Your family became family to me and you were my brother. 

Your life's journey took you down many winding roads. The time you spent in my neighborhood has given me many cherished memories. I will always think of the Vegas trips we made, times spent just hanging out and all of the laughs we had. Thank you Randy!

Randy and I spoke for countless hours over the years about many different things.  There was one thing he made me promise to say to his mom, if he were to pass away before her.  Sadly,  I was never able to tell her because we lost her too soon as well.  I will take liberty to share it here, as if he were saying it to the rest of his family and friends.

I first met Randy In 1984. At first, I thought he was just a goofy 16-year-old. But as we started to hang out more and more, we became close like brothers in fact, Scott, Jeff, Randy, and myself all became like brothers. I also became close with Randy’s mom Marilyn, his dad Bob, his sister Tammy, and her husband Brian. The four “brothers “ and a lot of the time Bob had a lot of adventures in 80’s and 90’s and made a lot of memories that I still think about and smile. During those years a lot of people came in and out of our lives but the four of us always stayed together. Randy, I wish we would have stayed in touch but I did think of you often. Enjoy heaven my brother. Say hi to Marilyn and Bob.

I can hardly find the words to express my sadness at your passing. I’ve known you as Randy for so long, and finding out more about you, James Randolph Wallace, reminds me of how much of a legacy you’ve left behind. You were always a fighter, and even when life threw you curveballs, you faced them with courage and a sense of gratitude that inspired me.

I remember our conversations, especially the ones where you shared your health challenges with me. You faced those battles with a positive attitude and strength that not many could muster. You told me about the small portions you had to eat, how you couldn’t lay flat, and how you were about to start chemo for extra insurance. You said you weren’t looking forward to it, but you knew if the little kids could do it, so could you. You even prayed for them. That’s the kind of person you were—always thinking of others, always finding a way to stay strong.

I’ll never forget the fun times we had together. The “Pink Cadillac” days and those rare moments when the Wallace brothers would do their round table. We really should have authored a book about those moments—those days were pure gold. You always said you loved hanging out with me, and man, I felt the same way. You were always the best, my brother.
Rest easy, my friend. You fought hard, you loved deeply, and you lived fully. You will never be forgotten.

Love this beautiful  Day with Randy at Scott and Mayra's wedding ❤️❤️

It is with a heavy heart I send my deepest  condolences  to Mayra, Scott and the rest of the Wallace family. I loved Randy with all my heart, and prayed for him daily when he was suffering  so much.
I will always remember  his beautiful  smile and laughter. A great guy that will be missed. ❤️❤️

Rest in peace. May your journey to heaven be a blessed one.  You are no longer suffering and you have been reunited with your loving parents and my parents.  Praying now you will be a guardian angel to both myself and your brother Scott who loves you so much.  Although your physical body is no longer on this earth, your spirit lives on in our hearts. 

Mayra Wallace

Randy was my wild brother.  We didn’t always see eye to eye, but we were always there for each other no matter what.  I’m so grateful he’s no longer suffering and thankful for the talks we were able to have while he was so bravely fighting.  He had a heart of gold and was always the first to lend a helping hand.  I’ll always treasure our last words to each other, “I love you very much,” “I love you too.”  I know you’re now exactly where you belong - laughing with Mom.

I pray that your journey will take you through trails of twinkling stardust by night, and golden sunlight by day. May the healing winds of love and peace cleanse your soul of pain and give you strength, and your rebirth be sweet and cradled in endless love.
