Jade was a counselor at SAS camp for my kids, Zoe and Kaiden. They were pretty little and I was nervous about them being at camp all day. When I showed up to pick up my kids, there was Jade, with both kids  metaphorically tucked under her wing. They were tired, they were exhausted, but camp had turned around for them once they had met Jade. She had long brown hair and a soft, winning smile. She spoke tentatively but kindly, to both me and the kids. It was my husband who suggested, at the end of the camp week, that we ask Jade for her number so she could babysit. The kids had never taken to someone as quickly as they took to Jade. In the future, we would measure every babysitter by Jade, and others would fall woefully short when it came to my kids’ adoration. 

My memories of Jade are  small and  sweet. When we came home to her babysitting, Jade was always such a good sport, letting us congratulate her on her life, her high school graduation and then matriculation to N.C. State. Answering questions about future plans. And always, always, our kids would declare that they had the best time with Jade. She was, and will always be, their favorite babysitter.

Thinking about you all and Jade this week.  We have such good memories of Jade through soccer.  We were at a Cary High game recently and had such fond memories.  We will always remember Jade as such a kind and talented young lady.

Jade and I met through Track and field at Reedy Creek. I hung out with her a lot during practices and meets. Since the girls and guys practices were separated when we would pass each other we would just yell “Hey jade/Noah!”. We started doing that in the hallways and it lasted up until I graduated. We may not have been close but she was always a kind face and we would catch up every now and then. I can only remember her with an almost permanent smile, constantly surrounded by good friends, I’m so sorry to hear what has happened.

You were my laughter, my tutor, my joy, my advisor, my tour guide, my lunch buddy,  my rock. I will never forget all of the memories we have together. Silly moments like cracking jokes in the lunch line together or trading crayons for markers in elementary school. Or going to all of the soccer games just to see the other teams double you, and still watch you score. Or running at the Reedy Creek track while trying to stay in shape during Quarantine. You were the most hardworking, intelligent, and kind person I have ever met. Always motivating me to keep my grades up and checking up on me when things got tough. You have touched my heart in so many ways, and I will always keep a piece of you with me. We graduated Elementary, Middle, and High school together, and now I will graduate college for the both of us. I love you Jade ❤️

Jade was and forever will be a force to be reckon with. I have spent the last two years getting to know Jade and the Bouedo family - a family that outpours love and compassion through every cervice.   Mid-pandemic and family-less in North Carolina, I was invited to Thanksgiving dinner at the Bouedos.  When consulting with Jade on what to wear, it was "well leggings of course.." (and thank god I listened! The Bouedos don't mess with the family walks!) Jade made me feel at home the minute I stepped in that door, and forever has. I am eternally grateful for the last two years, the holidays, the tailgates and the touchdowns. She's the person that makes everyone in a room not just feel seen, but be seen.

Jade, you welcomed me into your family at a time when I was nervous and insecure to meet you all. (I remember being so nervous because you were so pretty and so cool!!) Your warm smile brought me comfort and you always made me feel included. 
I would get so excited every time Kilian would say “Jade’s going to be there” (it’s cheesy to admit) but I loved being around you and was so excited to be your friend.
I’m grateful for our time we spent in France last summer, and all the times we’d go off together and you’d order my drinks for me, and all the looks we shared across tables (there were so many). To share a laugh with you was to love you and to see your true self. 
We were just getting started, Jade. We will not let you be forgotten. We will take your laugh, smile, and adventurous spirit with us every day and it will get us through. I can’t wait to tell my kids one day about their beautiful and loving tata Jade. ❤️

I played soccer with Naomi for years, and I always looked up to Jade. She played with so much heart, and as I spent more time around her, I learned that she lived with that much heart, too. My favorite memory was when I was pulled up to play on her club team. I was so nervous about playing with the older girls, and--more than anyone else--Jade took me under her wing. She gave me tips on what I could improve, encouraged me when I made mistakes, and asked me how I was doing. She cared about me and made me feel like I belonged. I will never forget that.

Jade was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was incredibly helpful and welcoming and shifts with her were always be so enjoyable no matter how crazy or stressful they got. I loved laughing and figuring things out with her. I’ll miss our Sunday shifts together ❤️ My sincerest condolences to her family and loved ones.

To my beautiful friend Jade, I am truly  heart broken at the news of your passing. You were one of my favorite people to be around and your light was unexplainable. I am so thankful to have been as close to you as I was. I will always remember the joy you brought to my life and the countless laughs and hugs we shared. I’m going to miss all of the many memories we made together. I will hold those with me for the rest of my life and you will forever hold a special place in my heart. Our daughter Meghan played soccer with Naomi for several years but occasionally she was invited to guest play on Jade's team. Jade was kind, caring, welcoming, cheered her on and helped make her feel more comfortable and at ease. I was lucky enough to meet Jade through some mutual friends in college and I'm so glad I got to share some memories with her. She was so kind, intelligent, and genuine. Although I didn't get to see her much it was always so much fun catching up with her and hearing about her busy and exciting life. Jade was an amazing person and light in this world and my thoughts are with her family.

I met Jade in one of our freshman year chem labs. We both originally had different partners but after the first class we knew we would work better with each other than our original partners. She was always so kind and supportive and never made me feel dumb if I was confused about something in chem (which I often was). Over the years I got to know some of her friends and they, like Jade, were all so open and caring, because that’s who she was and who she surrounded herself with. I saw her just over a month ago after not seeing her for a while and she acted like we had never been apart. Needless to say, even though we weren’t close friends, she left a lasting impression on me and is someone I will forever remember for not only her kindness, but the comfort and support she offered me when I felt like an outsider. Rest in peace, Jade. We all miss you <3

Jade was such an amazing soccer player and person. I remember so many memories of her making game winning plays and all the times she made me laugh. She was always pushing her teammates to be better and was always supporting you along the way. She was one of the best players I got to play alongside and I will always cherish that. We had been friends for three years and for some reason I cannot find a single picture of us together. I still cannot believe this is real and that you won't be here for our soccer game next week. Most of the time we spent together was either working on our genetics homework or on a soccer pitch, but it's the latter that I think about first when I hear your name. I loved that you, Naomi and I would give each other instructions in French to throw the other team off, and that it would actually work. But our friendship was more than just on the field, I was here for you, and you were here for me. I miss you a lot Jade and you will not be forgotten.

Jade was in a lab I taught at NC State during an extremely difficult semester at the beginning of the pandemic. She was one of my favorite students and made that semester better. Jade was witty and funny, and I am so incredibly sad to hear of her passing. My thoughts are with Naomi and her family.

The Fair Family 

From the moment we met in kindergarten to our junior year of college, I never stopped smiling when I was with sweet Jade. I can't begin to think about the many memories we have shared. From being in the same class throughout elementary school, all of our violin recitals and weddings, our camping trips, and our sleepovers when we were little to being summer camp counselors, going to the gym together, and getting coffee at NC State, there isn't a time I didn't enjoy being with her. Jade lit up every room she walked into and made everyone feel incredibly loved. Jade was such a hard worker and wonderful person. I am beyond heartbroken. I will miss Jade beyond words and will always cherish every moment we spent together. All my love and condolences to the Bouedo family.

It is with very heavy hearts that we send our condolences.  There are no words to express how we feel learning of the sad loss of Jade.  Though it’s been many years since we lived in Cary, we still have very fond memories of times spent with the Bouedo Family in the US, France and Ireland.

I will always be so lucky to have known you and to have shared the midfield with you for so many years. Some of my fondest memories in the Bouedo household included Jade. Hearing about this tragic loss has broken my heart. My sincerest condolences go out to her family. I’m deeply saddened to hear of Jade’s passing. I had the privilege to play soccer with her. She was a fierce competitor and consistently raised the energy and intensity on every pitch. Jade was an exceptional friend to me and encouraged me consistently. My deepest sympathies to the Bouedo family. 

I didn’t know Jade too well but throughout middle and high school I’ll always remember how warm and kind she was. She was an amazingly dedicated athlete and student whom I had the pleasure of knowing and playing with. Sending the Bouedo family all of my blessings and support.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Bouedo family. I have very fond memories of the entire Bouedo family during my time teaching at Reedy Creek Elementary. I can vividly remember Jade’s sweet face as a young girl. May your sweet memories carry you through this difficult time.

Jade was such a bright, sweet girl with great energy that others connected to. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. Heaven has gained a remarkable Angel. 

I am so sorry to hear this news. I always enjoyed when Jade popped in at our French table lunch at SAS and liked hearing about her achievements in soccer and school. She was a lovely young woman. My thoughts are with her family.
