Jack was born January 13, 1935 in Graham, North Carolina to the late Robert J. Reavis, Sr. and Grace Forsyth Reavis. He was a graduate of Elon College. He worked and retired as an accountant from the NC Department of Crime Control and Public Safety. He was awarded The Order of the Long Leaf Pine. He always said his greatest accomplishments were his beautiful wife and two daughters. He was a member of White Plains United Methodist Church in Cary since 1972 and considered the Searchers Sunday school class his second family.
Jack had a passion for Duke basketball, golf, reading, and traveling.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert J. Reavis, Jr. and sister, Allene R. Jones.
Jack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Hazel Ward Reavis; daughters, Paige (Greg) Howard, Leigh (Tom) Kent; nieces, Debbie Smith, Marci Bailes; nephew, Kevin Jones; and many loving extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Glenaire Auditorium, 4000 Glenaire Circle, Cary, North Carolina 27511.
