Hazel loved the LORD, and she shared His love daily to everyone who knew her. Her family and friends will miss her beautiful smile and feisty personality.
Hazel grew up in Greenwood, South Carolina. After she graduated from Greenwood High School in 1957, Hazel went on to take courses at Greenwood College of Commerce to become a secretary. Her first job was as a secretary at Grendel Mill in Greenwood, SC. When Hazel met her next-door neighbor, Gene Bryant, it was love at first sight. She told everyone that she was going to marry Gene. They were happily married for 37 years until his passing on May 1, 1996.
Hazel worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for various businesses in the different states that she lived, while Gene served in the United States Air Force. However, Hazel found her true calling when she became a realtor. Hazel said that finding people a home that they loved is what brought her the most joy and happiness out of all her careers. She became one of the top selling realtors in Goldsboro, NC. In 1999, Hazel retired and moved to Fuquay- Varina, NC to be closer to her daughters.
In 2010, Hazel moved to Cary, NC into the Glenaire Retirement Community. It is with much appreciation given to the Glenaire North Staff for all the love and care that they provided to our mother, Hazel Bryant.
The Bryant family is asking in lieu of flowers to please feel free to donate in their mother's memory to a church, favorite ministry or charity of your choosing or to their mother's favorite charity, Samaritan's Purse https://www.samaritanspurse.org/
