Don Wealon Casper

Don Wealon Casper, age 90, of Cary, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Don was born August 28, 1931, in Kenly, North Carolina to the late Willie Herbert Casper and Maude Moore Casper.

Don received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from North Carolina State University. He was an avid fan of Wolfpack Football and Basketball and a member of the Wolfpack Club. He loved the beach and boating, both on the sound and area lakes. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Don is survived by his daughters, Susan Cordle and husband, Robert, and Ellen Wells and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Jason and Kristen Cordle, Rebekah and Richard Maestri, Stacy and Steven Newton, Steven and Bailey Wells Jr, Rachel and Nick Butterly, and David Wells; and great grandchildren, Harrison and Oliver Maestri, Hudson and Brooks Cordle, and Riley and Tripp Newton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Casper.

A visitation for Don will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 Southeast Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603, immediately afterward.
