Carol Sue (Dodge) Watts, 77, resident of Morrisville, NC passed away Wednesday November 10, 2021. Although this was sudden and unexpected, she was surrounded by her loving family when called home to her Lord & Savior.
Born in Baltimore, MD February 18, 1944, she was the eldest daughter of the late Charles & Ruby (Niner) Dodge. Carol Sue met the love of her life in high school and became Mrs. Randall R. Watts on April 21, 1962. They were just five months shy of celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
Carol was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She kept a beautiful, inviting home where no one left hungry. Her artistic and creative talents were many and her natural gifts of mercy, patience and unconditional love were a cornerstone of her persona. Carol selflessly helped and served others often at the expense of her own needs. All she did was handled with love and care. But most important to Carol was her family - always first and always her pride and joy.
She is survived by her husband, Randy; daughter Christina and husband Howard Fleming of Raleigh, NC; son Darrell and wife Teresa Watts of Matthews, NC; and daughter Ashley and husband John Bromirski of Morrisville, NC. Grandsons: Daniel and wife Ginger Hayward, Randy and wife Manisha Hayward, Charles Scott Hayward and granddaughter Amelia Grace Bromirski and 4 great grandchildren. Sister Kathy and husband Dennis Sasseville of Bedford, NH along with her nieces and many cousins.
Her memorial service will be held at Westwood Baptist Church in Cary - Friday, November 19 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate any memorial contributions to be made in her honor to Dorcas Ministries (of Cary, NC) or St. Judes Children's Hospital.
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but the word of God abides forever.' Such sudden losses bring all of us into the sobering reality of an appointment we will all have to keep and the vaporous span of life. At the same time, how significant the gift of life is. Grief limits words but not reality. May God give us all the knowledge to so number our days that we might incline our hearts to His will. May the everlasting Word bring comfort to them [who mourn]. God hear our prayers." - Ravi Z.
