Barbara Brown Peek

On November 6, 2024 the world said goodbye to the beautiful soul of Barbara Peek, a treasured wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Known for her loving and generous spirit and charismatic personality, Barbara never met a stranger. She lived a life filled with tremendous enthusiasm and service towards others.

Barbara loved people and always wanted to know who they were and what was important to them.

After retiring from social work, Barbara cherished time with family, friends and especially her grandchildren. In her free time she enjoyed playing the ukulele, knitting, and hugging everyone no matter how well she knew you. She was an avid baker of sweets known for her famous pound cake and a lover of flowers and plants with an amazing green thumb.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert and their two daughters, Alyson Connor and Lori (Mendy) Peek, four grandchildren Ian, Bennett, Griffin, and Ava and her sister Rosalyn (Kenneth) Winter.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will take place on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 outdoors at The Connor residence, 728 Castaway Court, Holly Springs, NC at 1:30pm. Reception to follow.
